CRRNet Texas Area CRR/FLSE Spring Events

 As we continue our mission to enhance Community Risk Reduction (CRR) across Texas, we’d like to personally invite you to attend upcoming CRR and Fire & Life Safety Education (FLSE) events this spring. These events will provide valuable opportunities for networking, learning, and sharing best practices in CRR and public education.

Additionally, we are excited to announce the formation of the Fire Life Safety Educators Committee within the Texas Fire Marshals Association (TFMA). This committee will play a vital role in promoting CRR initiatives, supporting educators, and advancing fire and life safety efforts statewide. By joining TFMA and becoming a part of this committee, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded professionals and make a meaningful impact in our communities. We would love to have your expertise and passion as part of this initiative. Please consider joining TFMA and being an active voice in shaping the future of CRR in Texas.

  • North Texas State Farm/NFPA CRR Safety Summit May 20th – in Flower Mound, TX (FREE)
  • Join the Texas Fire Marshals Association (TFMA) and be a part of the newly formed FLSE committee ($50 to become a TFMA member – if you are already a member, you can join the FLSE section!)
  • TFMA Call for Presentations - the Conference is in late October in San Marcos, TX.

Updated Statewide PIO contact list and training information

  Just a quick note to share the latest contact list and training information.     1) 2025 Arizona First Responder PIO Roundtable.  DPS is proud to announce the second annual Arizona First Responder PIO Roundtable on January 23, 2025 from 8:00 - 4:00 at 2222 W. Encanto Blvd., Phoenix. PIOs and supervisors of PIOs from law enforcement agencies (from all levels - local, county, state, and federal), military, fire departments, and prosecutor offices.  This training will feature a morning session from the same speaker as last year, Steve Gregory, and an afternoon revolving around case studies and the lessons learned from those experiences as well as group conversation about what PIOs are currently seeing, changes PIOs have had to make recently, and trends PIOs are seeing right now.  Lunch will be included and space is limited.   To register  for this free event, please email AZDPS Public Information Supervisor, Sgt. Just a quick update with late breaking training information.     1) PIO training.   Great news, we were able to squeeze in another PIO training course Dec 16-18 in Goodyear.
