Archived CSN Webinar  ‌  ‌ Webinar Archive Protecting Children from Heatstroke in Vehicles  It can happen to anyone, even the most loving parents and caregivers, but it is entirely preventable. Every 10 days a child dies from Pediatric Vehicular Heatstroke (PVH) while unattended in a car. Reach more People with COVID Announcements

Image
Facebook is excited to announce that our free COVID Announcement feature is now available to State and Local Health Department Facebook pages, as well as municipal government pages. When you mark posts as COVID Announcements, we greatly amplify their reach so that people living in your community are much more likely to see them. Learn about CPR so you can be prepared. Cardiac arrest is not the same as a heart attack. Someone whose heart has stopped beating is in cardiac arrest and needs CPR. What is CPR, and when should I use it? Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is an emergency procedure that can help save a person’s life if their breathing or heart stops. When a person’s heart stops beating, they are in  cardiac arrest.  During cardiac arrest, the heart cannot pump blood to the rest of the body, including the brain and lungs. Death can happen in minutes without treatment. 1  CPR uses chest compressions to mimic how the heart pumps. These compressions help keep blood flowing throughout the body. Cardiac arrest is not the same as a heart attack. A heart attack happens when blood flow to the heart is blocked. A person having a heart

Hosting a Vision 20/20 One Day CRR Workshop

Vision 20/20 will assist in managing registrations for these free events. The dates we are currently scheduling for are June 1 to August 15. Vision 20/20 is now in the process of scheduling One Day CRR Workshops across the nation for this summer. There is no cost for attending one of these events.  If you are interested in hosting one of these events for departments in your area I ask that you use the following link to answer some short questions regarding the availability and requirements. We understand that some of you may be still under Covid restrictions which would prevent larger gatherings so we would like to gather all the necessary information prior to making decisions on locations for these events.   https://forms.gle/ hczH6x3ZV7ttQ7Vq6
