OHMIGOSH – It’s fall! And so many things are happening!

We just completed FLSE I at Fire School and then wrapped FLSE II in Tucson a few

weeks after. It’s always exciting to fire up the minds about what we do to reduce risks in

our community and share all the cool ways we make a difference. Thanks to all the

students who gave their time, energy and passion to these classes!

Fire Prevention Week is upon us. NFPA stuck with the lithium-ion battery theme this

year but narrowed it down to charging safely. I would love for you to send in your

presentations and materials you use/have created around battery safety so we can

upload them into the resources section of our site. We need your new content! Don’t be

shy! (Email them to Traci Tenkely at traci@tenkely.com. If it’s too big to send, let me

know and I’ll provide you with a link.)

And of course, we have our amazing regional conference in November – Desert

Southwest Community Risk Reduction, Nov. 3-5. Registration is open. Hotel rooms

can be booked. Share the conference with everyone! Educators, fire marshals and

beyond will find critical content to make programs more effective. (psssst – Fire

Marshals can get CEUs. Tell yours today!)

Make sure you also have our final meeting of the year on your calendar. We’re going to

do a White Elephant gift exchange – details to come. We’ll be at Northwest Fire District in Tucson, and the meeting will start at 10 am.

See you all so very soon!

Be Safe.
