Updates from NFPA

A few updates from NFPA:

Change your clocks, change your batteries information from NFPA includes two new social media cards you can use.   Note that Federal legislation is being introduced to remove the Fall Back/Spring Forward so once again, as educators we need to consider new ways to promote checking and changing your alarm batteries, promote monthly testing, and other critical smoke/CO alarm maintenance in a variety of ways throughout the year.

2021 NFPA FLS Educator of the Year nominations are now being accepted through the end of April.    This is a great opportunity to recognize your peers in the world of Fire & Life Safety Education.

NFPA’s new Smoke Alarms in US Home Fires Report is now available for download from www.nfpa.org

Don’t forget to download your copy of the 2020 updated   Educational Messaging Desk Reference, with updated messaging on a number of topics such as CO, Outdoor Fires, Candle and Electrical Safety and new chapters on Pet Fire Safety and Youth Firesetting.
